Do you know what an employee needs to know to make the correct lift or use the correct power tool? Can you assist the employees in inspection procedures? Learn what employees know about cranes, hoists, slings, electricity, lock-out/tag-out, and general power tool safety.

This course is designed to help Managers, Supervisors, Foreman, and those responsible for day-to-day crane & hoist lifting, electrical safety, and power tool operations. This 4-hour training session will help to ensure compliance with operational procedures for cranes, hoists, slings, below-the-hook devices, electrical hazards, lockout/tagout, and power tools.

Classroom Training Topics Covered:

Standards:

  • OSHA Standards & Regulations
  • ANSI/ASME B30 series standards
  • CMAA standards

Crane, Sling, and Below the Hook Devices:

  • Daily operator Checklist
  • Sling Inspection
  • Proper Operation
  • Inspection Requirements

Electrical:

  • NFPA 70E National Electric Code (Standard for Electrical Safety)
  • Basic Electricity and Protection against Electrical Hazards
  • Lockout / Tag-Out Procedures

General Power Tool Safety:

  • Safety Terms, Rules, and Symbols
  • Portable and Stationary Safe Operations
  • General Safety
  • Power Tool Safety Maintenance Check List

Each student will receive a Handbook that includes:

  • Training Manual
  • Electrical & LOTO checklist

Note: Certificate and Wallet Card Issued Upon Successful Completion.
